- Provide CDK application support to the Group 1 Automotive accounting organization and corporate office.
- Provide ongoing maintenance and support, including upgrades to related software systems, developing reports, and incident resolution.
- Maintain system setups and mapping.
- Participate in the installation and testing of software
- Ability to analyze and resolve technical problems
- Familiarity with CDK Global (Formerly ADP Dealer Services) APIs are a plus
- Partner with users to collect and document business requirements for system enhancements and improvements
- Deliver training to new users and ongoing skill enhancement training to existing users; update and improve training materials as needed
- Responsible for updating artifacts and process documentation.
- Special projects and other duties as assigned.
- A degree in Management Information Systems (MIS) or Accounting is preferred, with a with exposure to general ledger, schedules, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.
- Proficiency in programming and database management is essential, including experience with files, fields, indexes, if-then-else logic, and other similar parameters.
- Knowledge of the automotive dealership industry is required, ideally across multiple departments such as Accounting, F&I (Finance & Insurance), Parts, and Service.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high levels of accuracy is essential.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with consistency and precision is required.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and find innovative solutions to challenges.
- Strong time management and project management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities effectively.
- Willingness to work outside standard business hours to meet deadlines or accommodate updates that cannot be completed during regular hours.
- A proactive attitude, with a willingness to ask questions and seek guidance when unsure of how to proceed.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate systems concepts to finance personnel.
- Independent problem solving and drive to self teach.
- Experience working on large, complex projects and systems integrations in hybrid environments.
- Open-minded, curious, and resourceful.
- Passionate about/stay current with modern technologies.
- Solves problems systematically and transparently.
- Shares ideas, solicits/integrates feedback, designs and solves collaboratively.
