Purpose of the role
Griffith Foods Europe is currently expanding its continental R&D team. We are seeking a talented Food Technologist with expertise in meat or protein to support the evolving needs of our team in Herentals (Belgium).
The purpose of the role is together with the business development team to drive growth by developing profitable, high-quality, nutritious, and sustainable products and solutions tailored to selected customers.
These solutions must be both internally and externally processable while adhering to the highest standards of food quality and safety.
Responsabilites
- Develop winning products for the meat and poultry industry and support the scaling up of it to our targeted customers.

- Act as the technical contact for our customers in Benelux.
- Support presentations, organize and execute workshops and train the customer by showing our products in applications & marketable formats, in cooperation with sales and marketing. Conduct raw material evaluations and support optimization of the raw material database.
Requirements
- Master / Bachelor's in Food Science or Food Technology or equivalent by proven experience in food industry.
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in Meat or Protein processing.
- Language skills: fluent in English. Spanish or Dutch will be valuable.
- Project Management skills
- Experience in development and application of seasonings is a plus.
- Passionate about food and customer focus.
- Strong team player and able to work independently on product development projects.
- Creative, hands-on, accurate and well-organized.
Flexible in willing to travel within Europe to support our customers
