Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in Technical/Product Marketing, Public Relations, or quota carrying Sales and Business Development for consumption-based technology.
  • Experience engaging with customers in the startup ecosystem.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience as a founder, entrepreneur, or technical thought leader.
  • Knowledge of established network in the developers, founders, and investment communities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • A genuine love and appreciation for the entrepreneurial tech industry.

As the Startup Ecosystem Advocate, you will establish Google Cloud as the natural home for every software, technology, and artificial intelligence Startup in North America. As a member of the Google Cloud Startup Ecosystem team in North America, you will be responsible for establishing Google Cloud as a thought leader in startup communities across the United States and Canada. In this role, you will be the public advocate for Google Cloud to the broader startup community, and an essential API-touchpoint for the best startups to connect with Google Cloud. You will help customers and ecosystem partners take advantage of Google Cloud customer adoption programs such as Google for Startups Cloud Program, and will be instrumental in the development and dissemination of new programs. You will also have to travel.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $211,000-$300,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage with ecosystem organizations, private funds (Venture Capitalist, Private Equity), developers, and entrepreneurs throughout the region to help them experiment with and build on Google Cloud.
  • Collaborate with the Google Cloud Startup sales teams to increase Google Cloud adoption within the North American region, support market-intelligence efforts for the business to aide in business prioritization, and advocate on behalf of customers within Google Cloud to ensure startup customer needs are prioritized.
  • Represent Google Cloud's vision for the tech startup space in public speaking engagements, press and analyst engagements, and drive engagement in online community platforms to influence Google Cloud Platform adoption.
  • Lead the creation of startup-specific content including building quickstart architectures, andd startup customer references and features published through blogs and online community forums.
