Software Engineer, Pixel Mobile Quality, Devices Software

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java or Python), or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • Experience in developing Android applications, with an understanding of Android platform.
  • Experience in data-driven quality work.
  • Ability to lead and drive projects, and ramp up and learn quickly in a technically complex domain.
  • Ability to develop prototypes and build automation systems, or testing infrastructure.

    Responsibilities

    • Create innovative software engineering efforts, drive the design and development that solve or strategically address business objectives.
    • Own code, process and product.
    • Ensure product excellence, technical excellence, and system performance.
    • Uphold engineering best practices (e.g., functional testing, performance testing, instrumentation, experiments, etc.).
    • Collaborate with partner teams across Google and help the team to push toward our strategic goals.
