Software Engineer II, Embedded Systems, Silicon

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  
• Experience in C/C++, Python, and embedded systems.
  
• Experience in software performance tuning.
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in operating systems design and implementation.
  
• Experience in performance tuning/optimization, network protocol, and voltage control.
  
• Understanding of SoC architecture.
  
• Knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS).

Responsibilities

• Deploy and optimizevoltage/frequency control, and GSM protocol and products on Google's SoCs, enhance performance, and reduce power and memory footprint.
  
• Build prototype/production software for embedded software stacks running inside Google's SoCs.
  
• Contribute to the software and hardware architecture designs for Google's SoCs and software features.
  
• Collaborate across organizations and teams to move the architecture design into production.
  
• Build prototype/production software across the Android stack including kernel, Board Support Package (BSP), framework, and application to prove the feasibility of designs.
