Software Engineer, Content Ingestion, Search

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in an industry setting, or 1 year with an advanced degree.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
  • Experience using ETL tools to integrate data from multiple sources, designing/implementing ETL processes, and collecting and preparing data for analysis.
Preferred qualifications:
  • 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.
  • 3 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java).
  • Experience with data engineering technologies such as Apache Flume.

    Responsibilities

    • Partner closely with Engineers in Search Experiences teams, Real World Journeys, and others to support and co-develop current and future Search product experiences.
    • Work and collaborate with Senior Engineers and Tech Leads to plan a balanced portfolio of foundational investments and exploratory bets, and manage the business priorities.
    • Implement robust data ingestion technical solutions with high complexity requirements.
    • Execute on the team roadmap, delivering on a multi-quarter roadmap with incremental milestones.
