Job Duties: Vice President with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, New York. Develop and market Systematic Trading Strategies (STS) based on research, market structure, and statistical analysis. Apply a comprehensive and consistent approach to developing, designing, and maintaining indices and strategies, including: writing and reviewing methodology documentation which describes the rules of the STS, including: writing the rulebook describing the STS. Working closely with several teams across all aspects of the strategy design, including: legal and Compliance to make sure that all the relevant risk disclosures are described accurately; trading and trading strategists make sure that the methodology will be implemented and tradeable; market data team and IP Legal to make sure that the Firm has all the licensing required to implement such index; and third parties such as the calculation agent to make sure that they will be able to calculate and publish the strategy as well as an external counsel who might have the local expertise on where the product would be used. Executing due diligence on complex transactions: look at the maximum potential exposure of a transaction to assess the suitability of the strategy for the client. Conducting ongoing maintenance of the STS platform: developing and extending the core of STS and its proprietary platform across the five asset classes: Equities, Credit, Foreign Exchange, Rates, and Commodities. Conducting ongoing maintenance of the trading platform including the evaluation of performance and risk contribution of cross asset portfolios; working with engineering teams on infrastructure solutions to facilitate pre and post trades; and leveraging the Firm's technologies and processes to support and enhance trading platforms. Market STS platform for clients in the Americas: assisting sales in the marketing of STS products to institutional clients across the Americas, including explaining of complex market dynamics and adapting the communication to the degree of sophistication of the target audience.

Job Requirements: Master's or bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Applied Mathematics, Physics, Financial Engineering, Finance, or a related field. Three (3) years of experience with a master's or five (5) years of experience with a bachelor's degree in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience of one (1) year must include: developing, producing implementation, and maintaining of mission critical software in a high-performance oriented object programming language; working with Index construction, Equity derivatives pricing, Equity Multi Factor modeling, and Volatility Regimes Modeling using Markov switching models; applying financial mathematics principles, including but not limited to stochastic calculus, jump processes, no-arbitrage pricing theory, partial differential equations, multivariable calculus, linear algebra, numerical methods, optimization, probability, and random processes; principal component analysis, hypothesis testing, linear and non-linear regression; and working within equity markets and market structure. FINRA SIE, Series 7, and Series 63 or must take and pass FINRA SIE, Series 7, and Series 63 exams within 90 days of hire. International travel throughout the Americas approx. 5% of the time to visit clients.

Salary Range: The expected annual base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $150,000 - $300,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
