Summary of Responsibilities

The Macro Research team focuses on the intersection between economics and financial markets across a wide class of assets including equities, rates, FX, credit, mortgages and commodities.

We are seeking for analyst to join Credit Strategy team in Hong Kong.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing and interpreting large amounts of data related to the credit market, economic and political events.
  • Presenting data and conclusions in a clean and efficient manner.
  • Staying on top of industry-related news and analyzing the implications of news/industry developments.
  • Publishing timely and innovative research
  • Collaborating with the broader Macro/ Credit strategy team as well as our regional economists

Preferred Qualifications & Skillset

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably majors in Finance, Economics, or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math)
  • Strong quantitative skills
  • Excellent English language verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluency in Mandarin is required.
  • Experience using Python, R, SAS, SQL etc. for statistical analysis and data manipulation a plus
  • Familiarity with vendor data such as Bloomberg, Reuters and Haver is a plus
  • Professional writing experience a plus e.g. crafting research notes
  • Desire and ability to work in team-centric environment
