The Fixed Income team manages over $800 billion for institutions, high net worth individuals and mutual fund investors. Goldman Sachs Asset Management's Emerging Market Debt team is seeking an EM trader at the Vice President level based in New York. GSAM's EMD team manages over $40bn of dedicated EM assets across a broad range of products and investment styles.

Responsibilities

• Trade set up and best execution

• Working with portfolio managers and research analysts/Economists to identify value within the EM market

• Identifying and implementing security selection and relative value opportunities within specialized sectors both in EM Credit (sovereign, corporates) and EM Local.

• Working with portfolio managers to build and monitor credit risk in portfolios, including management of cash flows

• Developing and maintaining sell-side trading and syndicate relationships

• Recommending, allocating, and executing trades

• Maintaining and improving various trading tools and the accuracy of the data they employ

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of trading and/or sales & trading experience, preferably in fixed income Emerging markets credit, rates, and currencies. Buy side experience is a plus.
• An understanding of markets and a keen interest in fixed income
• Must possess strong quantitative and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail

• Excellent communication skills

• Strong work ethic

• Ability to work in a collaborative and dynamic environment

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $125000-$250000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
