Private Wealth Management (PWM)

Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management (PWM) specializes in creating comprehensive wealth management plans for high net worth individuals and families, as well as select institutions, including foundations and endowments. PWM Teams work one-on-one with clients to advise and deliver customized strategies drawn from our deep investment experience, diverse wealth management capabilities and global reach. Our Private Wealth Advisors (PWAs) deliver an unparalleled investment platform inclusive of the full product and service offerings of Goldman Sachs and beyond, which may include tax and estate planning, philanthropic planning and private banking and lending services. As client needs evolve, this close relationship allows the team to offer complementary services and new opportunities by leveraging the resources of Goldman Sachs and beyond.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the PWM business goals, processes, and players, and collaborate closely with them to drive product requirements and success
  • Support and develop product strategy and roadmap with our team, customers, and partners
  • Assist in the execution of the product roadmap by writing user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria for technology development
  • Partner with colleagues in engineering, design, operations, and program management to allow for seamless execution
  • Solicit stakeholder input and coordinate amongst multiple groups to inform requirements, including Business, Legal, Compliance, Operations and Engineering
  • Monitor competitive best practices and analyze end-user feedback - identifying and developing solutions when necessary
  • Engage with partner vendors to ensure they address product needs
  • Leverage analytics and data to inform the product roadmap
  • Influence the direction of the product roadmap through deep analytic perspectives
  • Parse larger product feature projects into smaller components while understanding dependencies
  • Document and communicate operational workflows
  • Translate complex requirements into clear actionable next steps for impacted groups
  • Understand, document, and improve existing processes to maximize efficiency in constantly evolving environments
  • Participate in ideation activities, product feasibility assessments, business case preparation, and overall product definition (feature lists and prioritization)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the firm to understand their needs, challenges, and opportunities, and build strong relationships with them
  • Use what you have learned during your time working with clients in asset management to identify nuanced gaps and inefficiencies
  • Apply your problem-solving skills to create a plan to solve gaps and shape the future of how PWM services its clients

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • 7+ years of work experience in wealth management client coverage team, product management experience encouraged but not required
  • Solid understanding of financial markets, asset allocation, portfolio construction and risk management; ability to apply financial concepts and methodologies to design and deliver innovative solutions for teams and clients
  • Hands-on experience in wealth management, preferably with exposure to digital platforms and tools; familiarity with the needs and preferences of different client segments and personas
  • Passion for creating engaging and intuitive user experiences that meet client goals and expectations; ability to collaborate with users, designers, engineers and other stakeholders to define and prioritize product features and enhancements
  • Demonstrated leadership and ownership of end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch and iteration; experience in applying agile and lean methodologies and best practices
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to lead working group calls and training calls and adjust content according to the respective audience
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to synthesize differing requirements
  • Strong attention to detail; strong logical and analytical thinker
  • Demonstrate a high degree of personal accountability, going above and beyond to ensure that products are delivered on time with a high degree of quality
  • Aptitude for logically breaking down complex problems and processes, documenting workflows and edge cases, and communicating solutions with clarity
  • Commitment to excellence and a high level of integrity
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative and ownership of projects, identifying potential risks and issues, and proposing solutions
  • Adaptability and flexibility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $115000-$270000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
