RESPONSIBILITIES

About the role:

The VP ITS Software Solutions manages a staff of systems analysts and programmers who provide highly specialized systems applications, systems analysis and programming support for applicable departments. This team member manages and implements departmental and corporate procedural standards for assigned personnel.

Assist SVP with the management, administration and software strategy and direction for assigned business systems
Consult with users on how to best support the business through the effective use of technology
Formulate and define systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a thorough understanding of business systems and industry requirements
Manage teams in the analysis of business requirements, design, reports development and maintenance of business applications
Manage team structures and operating procedures to ensure stability of the production application environment
Communicate with senior management and business partners on business systems and project status
Work closely with internal business units to facilitate project completion
Provide technical leadership and guidance on projects on in-house business systems, proposed business systems and systems utilities
Ensure that completed projects are thoroughly tested and documented prior to implementation
Develop effective relationships with other departments to better understand their operations, strategies and service expectations
Coach, mentor and train direct reports to establish a consistent level of quality, accuracy, accountability and compliance of standards
Responsible for the recruitment, selection and evaluation of personnel in accordance with organizational standards and policies
Prepare and manage forecasts and budgets for area of responsibility

QUALIFICATIONS

Advanced knowledge of business processes for supported business groups
Knowledge of security methodologies, policies, standards and best practices
Knowledgeable of best practices in information technology governance and regulatory landscape for financial institutions
Knowledge of GM Financial's core business functions, policies and procedures
Working knowledge of the consumer loan business
Working knowledge of all system applications
Working knowledge of the corporate business solution environment
Working knowledge of the consumer loan business
Working knowledge of all system applications within and that interface with the Lending Systems environment
Knowledgeable of effective management processes, corporate planning, personnel administration and budgeting
Working knowledge of accounting and treasury functions
In-depth knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27000, NIST, FFIEC, etc.)
Advanced knowledge of information technology systems, infrastructure and operations
Advanced working knowledge of information systems and operations systems for supported business groups

Previous experience in project management and strategy implementation with an emphasis on business analysis and planningAdvanced ability to create and work RFC and SR tickets with Oracle On Demand, Oracle Managed Cloud Services and Oracle Support
Strong in the use of Microsoft Office software including the strong ability to analyze data using Excel for reporting and data mining purposes
Deadline oriented
Ability to meet expected delivery dates and the tasks necessary to achieve objectives
Excellent writing and speaking skills
Good people skills including the ability to interact with employees at all levels and the ability to work directly with senior level management
Must be a self-starter and able to manage the investigations function with minimal supervision
Advance experience with data visualization concepts and tools
Advanced computer skills and conversance in information technology issues
Ability to effectively lead, organize and supervise

Experience:
7-10 years of progressively responsible experience in a lending production or information technology environment Req
High School Diploma required; bachelor's degree in computer science preferred
