RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Process Analyst I - Accounting/Finance will conduct meetings, document requirements and oversee development, testing and implementation of various projects for the Securitization and Conduit Reporting team including acting as key liaison with other departments and outside vendors. This analyst will collaborate with key stakeholders to identify and create efficient and effective methods to support the implementation of ongoing business process improvements and promote greater alignment between teams. Throughout this process the analyst will develop and maintain clear and effective documentation. Create and maintain process documentation, such as process maps, standard procedures, and user guides.
In this role, you will:
- Develop reports and presentations to communicate findings to the business and across multiple teams.
- Conduct and participate in meetings with different teams throughout the organization to develop an understanding of upcoming and ongoing projects
- Regularly conduct data analysis to support decision-making and identify trends or anomalies.
- Review software, technical, and functional requirements to ensure department requirements are thoroughly documented.
- Participate in requirements gathering sessions and help translate business needs into functional documentation in coordination with project teams.
- Assist with system enhancement projects, including the development of business requirements, user acceptance test scripts/execution, and track project timelines.
- Cultivate and maintain business relationships with Securitization and Conduit Reporting, IT, and other business areas to ensure clear communication of operational objectives.
- Communicate promptly, production issues (describing issue, resolutions, and status) with both the business and the IT team.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to outline and document requirements for process improvements and system enhancements.
- Support the Securitization and Conduit Reporting team by ensuring consistent quality, accuracy, and compliance of deliverables in alignment with departmental standards.
- Understand GM Financial's systems and processes and how systems interface.

- Self-motivated, detail oriented and able to prioritize tasks based on business priorities and deadlines.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

- Ability to grasp how a process works and leverage that knowledge to obtain the team's goals.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to convey pertinent information to different business units.
- Proven track record of collaborating and identifying solutions in supporting cross departmental business workflow
Experience
- Minimum of a BS/BA degree; preferably in the field of business or management.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in business process management.
