RESPONSIBILITIES
What you'll be doing:
- Lead and manage the activities of General Ledger team members
- Promote a cooperative and productive work environment
- Prepare and approve journal entries
- Review assigned account reconciliations performed by others
- Review general ledger accounts and consistently question unusual / non-routine transactions and account balance variances
- Prepare / review reporting to ensure accuracy and integrity
- Provide analytical support as requested to Financial Reporting, Treasury, Financial Planning & Analysis, and other business groups
- Participate in special projects as necessary
- Assist with documentation and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley
- Comply with and enforce company policies and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS

- Strong background with automated accounting systems
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Working knowledge of financial statements
- Working knowledge of the Accounting Standards Codification
- Ability to lead, coach and mentor team members
- Perform analysis on monthly financial statements and on complex transactions
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and work independently
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Detailed oriented
- Good Leadership skills
- Possess the skills necessary to operate various office equipment
- Strong computer skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced knowledge of reconciliations, financial reporting and analysis

Experience:
- 3-5 years at a supervisory level required
- Greater than 10 years with financial services background, CPA preferred
- Bachelor's degree in accounting required
