Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Leads a global team responsible for conventional and combined cycle steam blades planning and purchasing, encompassing parts, repair, and upgrades.
- Oversees demand collection from Steam and GAS businesses and serve as the point of contact for internal and external demand versus capacity discussions (lead SMR processes).
- Directs the quoting process for blades internally and externally, ensuring adherence to agreed rules and maintaining OTQ (On time to quote) and Quote quality.
- Manage PO placements and follow-up processes, ensuring on-time delivery (OTD) by proactively identifying and resolving issues, collaborating with internal teams and suppliers to optimize efficiency and enhance delivery performance.
- Owns the inventory strategy and budget forecasting for all steam blades, including replenishment responsibilities.
- Articulates complex technical and strategic concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders, including internal teams, suppliers, and joint venture partners, using high-level judgment to make informed decisions.
- Influences decision-making processes by presenting data-driven insights and strategic recommendations that align with organizational goals.
- Guides team members and stakeholders in considering alternative perspectives and innovative approaches to overcome challenges in blade allocation, demand management, and supply chain optimization.
- Implement Lean methodologies to drive continuous improvement in the CoE scope, including the development and management of KPIs, Bowler charts, and Daily Management (DM) practices to track performance and identify areas for enhancement.

Required Qualifications
- This role requires extensive experience in Materials Planning, S&OP Process, Purchasing and Execution, with proficiency in defining and managing inventory strategies within large corporations. Knowledge level is comparable to a Master's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
- This role requires proven experience in managing relationships with external suppliers, demonstrating the ability to negotiate and collaborate effectively to optimize supply chain performance.
- This role requires expertise in ERP systems, particularly in buyer and inventory functional areas.
- This role requires proven leadership skills in managing a global team, with strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- This role requires analytical problem-solving skills, with a capability to lead programs/projects and implement innovative solutions.
