Job Description Summary

As Senior Events Manager, you are an instrumental member of the GE Vernova grid software marketing team and are passionate about delivering optimal attendee experiences.

Your primary responsibility is to lead a global events program that includes industry shows and customer conferences and you are an essential strategist for new experiential marketing activities as opportunities arise. You are an ideal candidate if you have a proven track record of delivering high quality events from proposal to delivery, on time and within budget. This role interfaces closely with internal and external stakeholders as well as agency partners.

  • Develop the event and experience strategy for GE Vernova grid software and third-party industry events inclusive of audience strategy and acquisition, message development, content strategy and execution, amplification strategy, etc.
  • Navigate and own all end-to-end operations for events & activations working closely with internal cross-functional teams such as Partnerships, Marketing, Sales, Legal/Compliance, Analyst Relations, Operations, as well as external partners and agencies.
  • Own budgets and timeline (including event logistics, financial management, fabrication / graphic / production timelines, vendor timelines, creative deliverables)
  • Manage relationships (internal and external) as the primary point of contact through the GE Vernova grid software event lens
  • Manage vendor activity (ensuring effective communications, quotes, selection, setup, POs / deposits, etc.)
  • Provide onsite support for events
  • Ensure closing / reconciliation process completed
  • Able to see beyond a given task and advise on cause and effect of decisions and options depending on situation
  • Lead internal meetings, communications, and event training/enablement
  • Oversee effective, efficient execution of timeline and budget across all workstreams
  • Present milestones, budget updates and strategy for core execution team and executive updates on a regular basis.
  • Work with revenue generation and analytics team to summarize results, key learnings and business impact(s) of events and activations

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
  • 6+ years of professional experience, including 3+ years in corporate events management
  • Nice-to-have certifications/affiliations: Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP), Certificate in Meeting Management (CMM) and/or Digital Events Strategist Certification (DES)

What You Have

  • Experience: you are an experienced events leader with a strong background working across business teams including agencies, marketing, product, sales, operations, communications, and legal/finance.
  • A proven track record of defining and delivering successful events, end-to-end.
  • An ability to interpret industry trends and organizational objectives to inform decision making.
  • High motivation and extreme organization skills: you are an individual with experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders across the globe.
  • Attention to detail and excellent written communication skills to ensure high quality results.
  • Excellence in project management to ensure all milestones are achieved on time and on budget before, during and after the event.
  • Skilled influencer, able to communicate complex messages to others.

Additional Information

The salary range for this position is $145,360USD -$218,040USD. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus. Available benefits include be Health, Medical, 401K, and Paid Leave.
