Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
As the Senior Director - Digital Technology for GE Vernova Advanced Research, you will be responsible for establishing and implementing information technology strategies for Research, JFWTC, Externals, and Enterprise Products & Services. This role partners closely with the Vernova Advanced Research Senior Leadership Team, its Officers and Technical Leaders (SVP/CTO, CFO, CIO, VPBD, Chief Legal, Technology Leaders, Business & Externals Leaders, HR Leader, Lean Leader) and Corporate DT Officers (Corp CIO, DT CFO, BU CIO's) to ensure that Business Applications, Cyber Security & Risk, and Infrastructure (including Digital Workplace Services) enable overall strategic priorities and operating plans.
You will:
- Lead the creation, planning, execution, and lifecycle management of Global Business Systems projects, operations, and financials with an IT organization supporting GE Vernova Advanced Research and GE Vernova Businesses
- Develop partnerships with GE Vernova Advanced Research technical and functional organizations, and co-located GE Vernova Business leadership (globally), to deliver continuously improving IT processes and systems that meets/exceeds customer expectations
- Embrace Lean, Kaizen, Benchmarking, and Lessons Learned processes to identify and improve the highest business and customer value opportunities for GE Vernova Advanced Research collaboration and digital technology outcomes in safety, performance, delivery, and cost
- Develop and Execute GE Vernova Advanced Research's strategies around cyber security, high performance computing and data/data rights management and control.
- Support programs, projects, operations, and financials via IT project and portfolio management organization for prioritization, execution, and reporting.
- Create, maintain, and continuously improve IT team spirit, culture, and identity globally.
- Define and manage overall team operational performance to SLAs, OLAs, TSAs, and Commercial agreements that meet and or exceed agreed upon expectations.
- Perform effective Vendor Relationship Management as measured by performance tracking, vendor score carding, and adjusting services as necessary, including, but not limited to, insourcing, out-sourcing, and multi-sourcing opportunities.
- Develop and manage multi-component budgets and perform regular financial analysis to ensure tracking, meeting and/or exceeding strategic operating plan, and controllership.
- Budget development and financial analysis commensurate with CIO level expertise.
- Develop peer, cross-functional, and cross-business relationships
- Evolve and mature the organization's skills and capabilities, through training, development, and conferences to efficiently and effectively grow digital capabilities
- Effectively monitor and control costs in the organization
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, Engineering or related field with at least 10 years of information technology experience with at least 5 of those years in a managerial capacity
- Must be willing to work out of an office located in Niskayuna, NY.
