Job Description Summary
GE Vernova is seeking an experienced team leader with strong communication skills and a demonstrated customer centric focus to lead the next chapter of our scheduling journey. The Scheduling Leader is responsible for the multi-year scheduling strategy and coordinating the overall scheduling efforts across the ONW Product Development portfolio. They must have deep knowledge of scheduling best practices, methodologies and tools but also have the skills to translate to schedulers, program managers and team members that are not well versed in scheduling principles. They will be responsible for a team of contract planners.

- Develop and implement scheduling strategies to optimize resource utilization and meet project timelines
- Leads a team that is responsible for scheduling One Wind Engineering programs
- Manage scheduling team contract through definition of scope of work and standard work processes
- Provide tools and reporting requirements to ensure the overall Operations tools strategy meets the needs of the Scheduling team
- Define standard processes for different program types for both scheduling and resource planning
- Monitor and analyze scheduling data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Responsible for performing audits across the team to ensure consistency across the One Wind portfolio of programs
- Maintain scheduling templates by project/program type
- Define and implement schedule health indicators so team can continue to evolve into a proactive group that is actively supporting the program managers and operations in decision making / escalation
- Collaborate closely with the Resource Planning Leader to leverage schedule and resource data to enable decision making to optimize resource allocation while achieving portfolio objectives
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 5 years of product development experience
- Minimum of 10 years of scheduling experience
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a passion for process improvement
Desired Characteristics
- Minimum of 3 years of operations experience
- Proven track record of navigating complex customer requirements to develop a successful outcome
- Proven ability to leverage strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence multiple stakeholders and communicate challenges to groups not familiar with the complex intricacies inside schedule software or data structures
- Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills
- Strong listening skills and the ability to read between the lines of a request and its intention to get at the problem it is truly trying to solve
- Experience with engineering product development process; preferably in Wind Industry
