Job Description Summary
As the Plant Manager for Pittsburgh, you will be responsible for providing team leadership to the supply chain operation based in Pittsburgh, PA. In this role, you will have responsibility for a multi-business facility with approximately 200 shop employees. Responsibilities will also extend to ensuring reliability and consistency across the facility while creating a safe work environment and accountability for the quality of both individual and team's work. This role operates within a dynamic atmosphere, requiring strong communication between direct reports and other facility stakeholders.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day activities of the facility including Maintenance, Manufacturing, EHS, Quality and Lean and their respective budgets
- Lead all aspects of the manufacturing function with a clear focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Productivity
- Successfully drive and maintain the highest level of safety, employee engagement, morale, and teamwork in a non-union facility
- Improve & Monitor cost productivity while ensuring all customer commitments are met in a timely, high quality & compliant manner
- Maintain the highest standards of integrity and of quality for all production procedures
- Ensure appropriate labor & resource capacity exists to achieve all customer commitments
- Work closely and collaboratively with all supporting departments such as Project Management, Engineering, Test, Sourcing & Procurement, Logistics, Human Resources and Quality to meet customer objectives
- Schedule and conduct plant meetings; foster employee engagement and ensure that business and operational goals are effectively communicated to employees
- Encourage and solicit open communications with all production and staff members
- Manage forecast and capacity alignment and hire or schedule accordingly
- Attract, hire, train, develop, retain and provide ongoing leadership and career development of talent
- Actively participate in budgeting and forecasting for production and resource planning which will develop into operating plan
- Drive operations team towards execution of business goals using Lean Manufacturing methodology
- Establish and drive operating rhythm to deliver results
- Establish and leverage relationships across all boundaries to effectively achieve business results

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum 7 years of related work experience with proven leadership in manufacturing, production management, or other supply chain execution
Desired Characteristics
- Master's degree in business administration or manufacturing / Business / Engineering
- Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma or Equivalent Quality training
- ISO 9001 Quality Management System knowledge
- Strong team leadership and cross-functional continuous improvement skills
- Experience collaborating across multiple business segments to align strategies and operational processes
- Proactive self-starter and change agent
