As Material Management Specialist for the Material Management team of GE Steam Power you'll manage the internal factories buying process for Steam Turbine and Generator flow parts

Roles and Responsibilities
- Place and follow-up on POs to Internal GE factories
- Manage relationships with GE factories for PO execution
- Manage problems and schedule changesPlace Purchase Requests for Inventory flow parts
- Update ERP
- Develop new solutions under guidance and / or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organizations
- Balance both tactical execution with strategic initiatives necessary to drive cost reduction projects
- Collaborate with SPB level stakeholders
- Specifies needs, communicates about project approach and presents outcomes of research done
- Provide technical / commercial assistance to Material Management and S&OP teams to develop awareness of manufacturing processes and improve product knowledge
- Actively participate in GE factory performance reviews
- Advises Functional managers regarding projects, processes and procedures within own field
- Contributes to project as a team member or leads small projects

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college OR a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Procurement/ Supply chain planning)
- An additional minimum of 2 years of experience in Procurement/ Supply chain planning
- SAP knowledge in procurement environment
