The Material Planner is responsible for material planning to meet production schedules and inventory requirements, ensuring the efficient and timely clearance of imported and exported goods through customs while coordinating. This role requires knowledge of customs regulations, logistics, and supply chain management to optimize the flow of materials and enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
Material Planning
- Support plant-wide materials input and output, inventory, on-time delivery metrics performance, system status update as necessary.
- Develop and implement detailed material plan to support production schedules and inventory requirements.
- Collaborate with procurement and production teams to forecast material needs, ensure materials availability and prevent shortages or excesses.
- Maintain accurate records of material orders, deliveries, and inventory levels.
- Handle all documentation and coordination for import and export shipments and ensure compliance with all customs regulations and procedures for import and export activities.
- Prepare and submit necessary documentation to facilitate customs clearance. Classify goods using the correct HS codes and ensure accurate declaration of customs duties and taxes and compliance to Singapore Major Exporter Scheme (MES)
- Work closely with Logistics / Custom COE to resolve any issues
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery and clearance.
- Maintain accurate records of all customs activities and ensure compliance with audit and regulatory requirements

Qualifications:
- Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, Logistic or a related field.
- Proven experience in material planning and customs clearance, preferably within manufacturing industry.
- Experience with SAP system will be an added advantage
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work in a fast paced environment
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in supply chain management.
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations and compliance requirements
- Familiarity with ERP systems.
- Experience in continuous improvement and familiarity with Just-In-Time (JIT) inventory concepts are added advantage.
