Lead and manage the technical Institute training business with External & Internal Customers.
Direct responsibility for TI Stafford and reporting to the regional competency manger CNE.
Developing and delivering internal and external trainings in the UK.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Technical - Understand customer training requirements and make Training programs.
- Technical - Contact person for technical problems in the UK within the Grid business, to increase and retain the own competencies.
- Conducting internal and external customer trainings.
- Tendering - Prepare training offers as per Customers requirements.
- Execution of projects - Identification of Trainer / Scheduling / Execution / Follow up on customer Satisfaction / Certification / Project Management.
- Execution of Sales - Monitor project costs, GM, NM.
- Monthly KPI reporting - Orders: Sales: Internal / External Trainees: Training man days.
- Business development - Identify growth opportunities, make business case if investments are required & any other actions required to capture these opportunities. Follow up with Customers for Order Intake.
- Monitor the quality / standard of available training documents & take improvement actions to upgrade old documents, add training documents for new products, (ppt file, handouts etc.).

Requirements:
- Advanced and demonstrated years of experience in HV equipment.
- Technical & Commercial experience in HV products.
- Engineer degree or diploma in electrical or mechanical.
- Excellent communication skills.
- High autonomy combined with a proactive and pragmatic approach to work.

Lichfield Road manufacturing facility has been originally established in 1903 and has been standing since 1960 as a part of English Electric group, delivering power transformers, that later merged GEC Alsthom and later became ALSTOM, and has been acquired by GE in 2015. Stafford is ideally suited for research and advanced manufacturing with our highly skilled staff and position at the heart of the UK's transport network. GE is proud to be the largest employer in Stafford, with around 1,700 employees across multiple sites.
The transformer facility has been renowned all over the world with its expertise in design, manufacturing, and delivery of HVAC and HVDC transformers world-wide, up to 800kV.
