Job Description Summary

Provide the commissioning technical service for the regional Gas Power, Aero tendering and execution projects
Coordination within Construction and Commissioning (C&C) functions for on time tender preparation. Ensure transparent, accurate tender costing at tender stage. Provide support and know-how to the ITO and sales team by considering and optimization of all Commissioning issues at tender stage.
Maintains a close relationship with site teams and engineering to gather lessons learned, to help fixing technical issues, to train field engineers, to explore new technologies and to enhance project execution.
Acts as interim Commissioning Manager remotely to prepare project execution from the early constructability reviews to the revision of the technical documentation

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • • Review and comment Tender Time Schedules (TTS), Master Time Schedules (MTS) and System Time Schedules (STS) to ensure their feasibility.
    • Review Division of Responsibility (DOR) during tendering and execution to ensure proper scopes capture and coordination between the various companies, departments and teams involved.
    • Review the commissioning documentation related to each tender (e.g. Site Division of
    Responsibility for consortium, etc...)
    • Ensure that all commissioning related costs such as commissioning infrastructure, execution cost, manpower cost are captured and estimated during tendering.
    • Participate at the constructability meeting to ensure an optimized commissioning during execution and mitigate commissioning risks at tender stage.
    • Systematic collection of feedback from execution with the aim of continuous improvement of the quality of tenders.
    • Produce and maintain typical templates and documents used during project tendering and preparation for installation and commissioning (schedule, consumption, man loading, tools...)
    • Review contract and customer/partner specification and answer technical queries directly from partner, customer, and/or project teams.
    • Participate in Kick-off meetings on site as required by the project team to present our commissioning procedures and guidelines.
    • Identify commissioning tooling needed and help site with procurement process.
    • Review and comment of GEK, Process specification, Comm book, PTP, ITPL... in co-work with engineering departments and C&C methods team.
    • Participate in the evaluation or development of new technologies, products, or processes relevant to construction and commissioning even when such activities are being led by other departments like New Product Induction (NPI program).
    • Gather lessons learned using ERS portal, share across C&C teams and help engineering implementing long term fix to solve the issues.
    • Lead or participate in RCA analysis.
    • Act as interim Commissioning Manager remotely before official assignment(s) on site (prepare execution, answer customer question, identify and solve issues with project team...).
    • Work on site cost reduction plans.
    • Support the development of "micro-training" programs and materials on current and past technical issues and provide training in the office or at site on selected topics as required to maintain awareness amongst all personnel (create tutorials and train field and methods engineers).
    • Coach field engineers and methods specialists providing tips, best practices, general guidance, preventive actions, and lessons learned. Encourage cross regional knowledge transfer through regular contact.
    • Establish and maintain a direct communication channel with field managers/ engineers and collect site feedback.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years above experience in commissioning execution of power plant projects
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, control or related technical engineering disciplines.

  • Flexibility in working hours
  • Ability to short term travel
