We are seeking a passionate and driven Senior Business Leader, Product Manager Commercial for GridOS Analytics. The Leader will be responsible for orders, revenue, margin, growth & Net Promotor Score (NPS). Additionally, creating strong working relationships & influence across executive leadership, product management, engineering and other functional groups to execute the strategy within Grid Software Solutions, GE Vernova, partners and customers.

As the Product Manager Commercial for GridOS Analytics, you're accountable for the Commercial aspects of the P&L. The responsibilities includes the Go To Market Strategy for the segment and growth in our Key Accounts. This leader is accountable for the modernization of our Software practices including the business model and the SDLC.

As a domain expert for your portfolio, you will engage customers at mid and upper management levels to develop/refine portfolio strategy, influence customer & industry direction, secure investment and execute strategy.

The primary domains include Electric Utilities (Transmission & Distribution), Telecommunications, as well as gas/water utilities. Successful candidates should also have appropriate Analytics, Geospatial, IT/technology expertise to cover cloud/services concepts for these industries. This is a global role and candidate should have knowledge of similarity and difference in these markets to adjust product strategy as required in the various markets.

As the Product Manager Commercial for GridOS Analytics, you will elevate how we engage with internal and external software and other Partner businesses. You will be accountable for driving successful delivery of products from GE Software, making recommendations on extending software solutions, and representing GE Vernova to the outside market, including customers, partners and analysts.

Job Description

In this role you will:

  • Responsible for product line performance with targets on orders, revenue, cost & margin. Identify and influence market trends and opportunities.
  • Drives vision & strategy, roadmap and product lifecycle for sub business unit and its portfolio of products & solutions.
  • Participate in events and industry associations to influence the direction for the business and technology in the segment.
  • Be a domain/business expert for the portfolio to guide and mentor teams, and establish/refine product management processes.
  • Work cross functionally across engineering, marketing, sales, internal and external customers, analysts and senior management teams to formulate and execute the strategy.
  • Establish and manage relationship across GE businesses & sub-businesses, partners and customers at director level and above and technical expert levels across industries and geographies.
  • Establish strong working relationship with account managers, technical sales and user/developer community. Will need to contribute to key account and opportunity strategies.
  • This role is responsible for analytics product portfolio a with typical revenue influence / target in the range of $30M-$100M USD per year.
  • Will have strong financial acumen and accountability.
  • Responsible to create strong working relationship & influence across product management, engineering and other stakeholder groups to successfully execute business strategy across GE businesses, partners and customers.
  • Will engage customers at director level and above as a trusted partner.
  • Cross functional leadership to define and execute the vision and strategy.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or in "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
  • 10+ years of strong industry/technical experience along with established leadership credentials across product lines.
  • Prior knowledge and work experience in the Analytics, GeoSpatial, Work Management and Utility Field Work

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be willing to travel globally as necessary.
  • Given the role's global reach, must be willing to adjust/accommodate work hours as needed to complete work requirements

Technical Expertise:

  • Proactively drives portfolio and investment decision to balance customer needs, install base requirements (refresh) and long term enterprise differentiation.
  • Evangelizes concepts beyond current offerings and considers business model innovation (product, service and delivery innovations
  • Strong knowledge and prior experience with cloud based (Saas) systems. Requires an overview of how customers fund (capex/opex) and operate in GE based cloud offerings
  • Working knowledge on utility & telecom networks, enterprise applications, analytics

Business Acumen:

  • Strong business analysis, problem solving, and strategy development skills
  • Evangelizes new technology, predicts trends, and identifies new opportunities based on trends
  • Identifies the customer's business and strategic needs, concerns, and desires for the value delivery capabilities of the products
  • Establishes relationships in the market intelligence and research community
  • Ability to interact at all levels of the organization and with other GE businesses

Leadership:

  • Adopts a holistic systems perspective. Empathizes with multiple points of view. Challenges program/product planning assumptions
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams to help build effective processes
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Builds direct and "behind the scenes" support for ideas, and leverages chains of indirect influence

Additional Information

The salary range for this position is $174,000USD -$261,600USD. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus. Available benefits include be Health, Medical, 401K, and Paid Leave.
