Job Description Summary

Within the Europe & SSA region of the Grid Automation business line you are responsible for data analysis activities and processes that help the sales organization achieve business objectives
The role includes preparation and participation to sales reviews and support in closing the monthly, quarterly and yearly order intake.
Operates with some autonomy but are typically subject to standard sales practices and procedures.
The GA Europe & SSA Sales Operations Leader will report directly to the GA Europe Sales Leader and functionnally to the SSA GA Sales Leader.

- to support the salespeople with commercial processes : targets settings, results evaluation, budget preparation
- to support the salespeople by troubleshooting issues they face with Salesforce
- to simplify guidelines, to improve their clarity, to promote GA commercial methodology, instructions and philosophy to the whole commercial team
- to engage the sales community with the relevant Chatter group: to promote best practices, to relay / remind important messages
- to train the sales community, the newcomers on relevant topics
  • GA Europe & SSA Salesforce administration
    - to administrate the sales roles structure to ensure a correct users' visibility in Salesforce
    - to manage mass re-assignments when people change roles, Salesforce access, accounts hierarchy
    - to find the right trade-off between Salesforce data quality and the salespeople workload
    - to tests new features and updated features before implementation in Salesforce (Users acceptance tests)
  • Collaboration
    To ensure a constructive collaboration between the GA Europe & SSA sales team and other Grid Solutions departments, Regions, and other GE businesses.

  • Scope of the role and Responsibilities

    • Sales force effectiveness, productivity analysis, allocation of resources and territory coverage, sales incentives, Salesforce CRM platform and tools, lead for commercial planning and forecasting, Inquiry to Order (ITO) processes, ITO lead for business reviews. Cleans and maintains data in Commercial and other core systems (CRMs, SFDC, ERPs, etc.).
    • Developing in-depth knowledge of sales territory, product lines, markets, sales processes or customer groups. Uses prior experience and acquired commercial expertise to execute policy/strategy.
    • In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
    • Most decisions are within a defined framework, but some autonomy in the final decisions for a project, product line, market, sales process or customers. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
    • A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor, with proven interpersonal skills. Communication with direct colleagues and the business about design and coordination services rendered. Provides informal guidance to new team members. Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations.

    Required Qualifications

    • This role requires advanced experience in Sales Operations.
    • Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
    • A good understanding of the Grid Industry.

    • experience with a visualization tool (Einstein Analytics, Tableau, Power BI...
    • advanced level in Excel
    • Strong analytical and financial acumen
    • fluent in English and at least one other European language
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
    • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
