Job Description Summary
The GEH Nuclear Inspection team works to inspect nuclear power plants around the world during our customers refueling outages. Our team deploys a The GEH Nuclear Inspection team works to inspect nuclear power plants around the world during our customers refueling outages. Our team deploys a variety of manual and robotic inspection techniques to fit our customers dose reduction and schedule goals. The In Service Inspection (ISI) team focuses on inspections outside of the reactor vessel and piping and components critical to safe operation.
The ISI Field Engineer will learn to provide technical direction and oversight of NDE activities on nuclear power plant inspection projects. This technical direction involves communication with customers and supervision of up to 15 contractors and co-workers.
The ISI Field Engineer will learn to provide support development of processes, techniques, and tooling to meet business needs. This role will primarily focus on learning roles as an ISI Engineer and Equipment Technician at customer outages. This role involves training on planning inspection scopes, installing and operating automated/robotic ultrasonic inspection equipment, and trouble shooting and repairing equipment if malfunctions occur.
The person in this role will learn to prepare automated tooling and equipment prior to nuclear power plant outage inspections. As well as learning to evaluate and document performance issues during inspections and working in the off season to improve the tooling and procedures to correct the issues identified.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Supporting GEH leads in planning of project schedule and delivery and provide task leadership, technical direction, work coordination and supervision of work teams composed of GEH and contingent worker personnel
- Learn to perform drywell inspection activities at nuclear customer sites.
- Participate in the development of new NDE techniques and tooling improvements
- Support business activities including inspection tooling and technique development, Commercial Operations and Planning & Staffing and Training
- Perform duties and complete assignments while maintaining GEH standards for integrity, safety and quality
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or related degree (Chemistry, Material Science, Physics) from an accredited college or university
Eligibility Requirements
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 75% to domestically and internationally plant sites
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb 10 flights of stairs twice per day
- Ability to pass respirator fit test and physical
- Ability to pass Fitness for Duty requirements and site security requirements to obtain unescorted access
- Ability to work under high stress conditions
- Ability and willingness to work in radiation-controlled and radioactively contaminated areas
- Ability and willingness to work 12 hrs./day and 7 days/week when needed for project delivery

Desired Characteristics
- Experience designing, operating, and maintaining automated or robotic tooling
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience performing mechanical repairs and maintenance
- Working knowledge of ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code sections III, V, VIII and XI
- Knowledge of GE Nuclear / GE Energy products, processes, customers, markets and competition
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
- Established project management skills
The base pay range for this position is $72-90k. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This position is expected to close on Friday August 23rd
The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
