Job Description Summary

The Contract Manager (CM) has a major role in the realization of our grid integration projects which are the fundament of the Energy Transition in Germany and Central Europe. Your contribution is important, visible and will make a difference, because the CM is an integral part of the project leadership team. The CM overlooks, analyses, and clarifies the commercial contractual rights and obligations as well as the technical scope and thus has a major contribution to the execution and completion of our projects in the required time and quality under achievement of the commercial targets. Also, the CM from time to time is involved in supporting the tendering team in negotiations of complex project contracts.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • responsibility for all project contractual activities from hand over from Sales/Commercial until all relevant contractual obligations are complete, including financial reconciliation, and all relevant contractual issues are resolved/ settled
  • working in close cooperation with the project manager and supporting the team regarding sourcing/procurement
  • management of subcontractor's and supplier contracts
  • pass-through the main terms and conditions from the main contract into subcontracts and supplier purchase orders
  • analyses and clarifies the contractual rights and obligations of the company in relationship with subcontractors and suppliers
  • supports the definition of interfaces between the different project stakeholders as well as the involved companies and experts
  • set up and draft contract amendments and subcontracts and lead the negotiations based on the strategy aligned with the management and the project directors
  • drive the change order and claim processes incl. insurance cases.
  • support the invoicing processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or similar with few years of experience in project management
  • Experience in drafting contractual letters
  • Understanding of construction contract law
  • Ability to analyze and resolve issues
  • Strong sense of ownership, accountability and follow-up
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in German and English
  • Experience in turnkey project administration / EPC projects desirable

Additional Information

  • Willingness to travel 10% mainly in Germany, NL, PL
  • Based in the GE Berlin office - part time remote work to be possible
