Job Description Summary

The Commissioning Manager is responsible for overseeing the commissioning activities of a combined cycle power plant to ensure systems are installed, tested, and operational according to project specifications and requirements. This role requires close coordination with engineering teams, construction managers, and plant operators to achieve successful start-up and operation of the plant.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Planning and Coordination:
    • Develop comprehensive commissioning plans and schedules.
    • Coordinate with project management, engineering, and construction teams to ensure alignment of commissioning activities.


  • Execution of Commissioning Activities:
    • Lead and supervise commissioning team members and contractors.
    • Oversee the testing and validation of systems including turbines, generators, heat recovery steam generators, and auxiliary systems.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues during commissioning.


  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Ensure all commissioning documentation is completed accurately and maintained.
    • Prepare progress reports and present findings to stakeholders.


  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Ensure all commissioning activities adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
    • Implement safety protocols and conduct risk assessments.


  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Liaise with clients, contractors, partner and regulatory bodies to ensure project requirements are met.
    • Provide technical support and guidance to plant operators and commissioning team.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field) or equivalent experience.
  • Significant experience in commissioning activities within the power generation industry, specifically in combined cycle power plants.
  • Strong proven leadership and management of resources and skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
  • Ability to work under pressure and strong organizational skills

Desired Characteristics

  • Willingness to travel on long term assignment
  • Fluent in English, German is an asset.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is:$ 114,100.00 - 190,200.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.

This position is also eligible for a 15% performance bonus. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. This position will stay open on the career website until at least August 5th. 2025

Rôles et Responsabilités

Planification et Coordination

  • Développer des plans de mise en service et des calendriers complets
  • Coordonner avec la gestion de projet, les équipes d'ingénierie et de construction pour assurer l'alignement des activités de mise en service

Exécution des Activités de Mise en Service

  • Diriger et superviser les membres de l'équipe de mise en service et les entrepreneurs
  • Superviser les tests et la validation des systèmes, y compris les turbines, générateurs, récupérateurs de chaleur et systèmes auxiliaires
  • Dépanner et résoudre les problèmes opérationnels lors de la mise en service

Documentation et Reporting

  • Veiller à ce que toute la documentation de mise en service soit complétée avec précision et maintenue
  • Préparer des rapports d'avancement et présenter les résultats aux parties prenantes

Sécurité et Conformité

  • Assurer que toutes les activités de mise en service respectent les réglementations de santé, de sécurité et d'environnement

Engagement des Parties Prenantes

Qualifications Requises

  • Compétences solides en gestion de projet et resources
