This role is categorized as HYBRID . This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Cadillac Tower three times per week, at minimum. This job may be eligible for relocation benefits.
As a US Brand Media Manager for one of General Motors' four vehicle brands, or leading our corporate brand media, you will direct a team that will developing and maintaining the media strategy for your brand. You will be an integral member of a passionate, enthusiastic, dynamic, and highly engaged team. As a Brand Media Manager, you and your team will own and deliver a comprehensive and tightly aligned media plan across national, regional, and local tiers.
You will be charged with driving innovation for your brand, pushing boundaries of established and new media channels to reach new and existing customers with relevant and timely messaging. You will work with many internal and external colleagues to deliver an effective media plan, delivering on all key KPIs. This is a tremendous opportunity for an experienced media pro to play a key role in the growth of GM's iconic brands!

Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead a team overseeing the development of coordinated tiered national, DMA and dealer approach for their brand
- Orchestrates cross-tier coordination and training across internal and external teams
- Accountable for management of the total brand media budget, developing appropriate investments & mix across for the brand
- Manage media agency relationships for the brand
- Develop and foster strong relationships with internal and external teams to effectively align media across tiers
- Establish regular touchpoints to review media plans with brand teams and senior leadership for approval
- Work with retail team and agencies to create monthly go-to-market media plans aligned to broader media and marketing objectives
- Work with Agency partners to plan and activate media across all relevant media channels
- Collaborate with Integrated Analytics team and GM Research to deliver identified KPIs across all channels
- In collaboration with the Global Media Services team, develop fresh insights to drive media innovation, enable smarter and more effective media strategy and buying decisions for the brand
- Partner closely with peers (Brand Media Managers) to ensure best practices are shared, ways of working are consistent and media ideas move freely between the brands
- Stay current on media trends and the shifting media landscape to enable smarter and more effective brand media planning and investment

Qualifications
- 7+ years' experience in Media Operations, Planning, or Strategy
- Solid understanding of all areas of media with particular familiarity of media planning and activation platforms, technology and processes
- Demonstrated ability to own and effectively manage a large budget
- Ability to offer a clear POV and a strong rationale to defend position as the media lead for the brand
- Ability to prioritize and tie all media plans to support the business plan & core priorities
- Ability to communicate strategy and plans effectively
- Ability to form strong relationships with key internal and external media partners
- Ability to effectively brief and drive clear direction to media agencies
- A self-starter with the ability to think strategically
- Experience leading a team
- Experience working with or for media agencies
- Demonstrated offline and digital media experience
- Excellence in Powerpoint and Excel
- Excellent communication, presentation, co-ordination and project management skills
- Analytical skills
- Ability to multi-task across several diverse projects
- Ability to occasionally work irregular hours
- Bachelor's degree required
This position requires the ability to legally operate a motor vehicle on a regular basis. A company vehicle will be provided for this role with successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Report review.
