This role is categorized as HYBRID . This means the successful candidate is expected to report to GM Global Technical Center- Cadillac Tower three times per week, at minimum. This job may be eligible for relocation benefits.

As the Marketing Capability & Engagement Manager , you will serve as the strategic lead and operational engine behind the transformation and delivery of GM's global marketing priorities. In this role, you will own and drive the enablement and acceleration of global marketing projects, champion operational excellence, and oversee a team of project management leads supporting strategic marketing workstreams. You will manage cross-functional alignment, and partner closely with senior leaders, capability hub leads and global marketing teams to ensure GM's marketing strategies are outcome driven and executed with precision, speed, and impact.

This role is ideal for a seasoned marketing operator who thrives in complex environments, brings a rigorous program management approach, and excels at orchestrating across functions and geographies.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Leadership

  • Strategic support of the end-to-end annual global marketing planning process, ensuring cohesion with GM's enterprise strategy and marketing vision.
  • Act as the primary driver for accelerating marketing workstream execution and transformation, ensuring initiatives are tracked, resourced, and delivered on time and with measurable outcomes.
  • Own development of planning frameworks, capability rollouts, and cross-regional alignment to support global enablement and marketing effectiveness.
  • Serve as the key thought partner to the Chief of Staff, providing insight and recommendations on marketing operations strategy and capability acceleration.

Program Oversight & Workstream Integration

  • Direct and mentor the Marketing Enablement project management team to drive implementation of global marketing capabilities and tools across US & regional hubs.
  • Identify and resolve cross-functional interdependencies, risks, and resource constraints to maintain project momentum and alignment.
  • Maintain visibility on all key initiatives, proactively escalating issues and delivering regular reports to executive stakeholders.
  • Lead the evolution and adoption of the global marketing operating model, ensuring regional scalability and a consistent marketing experience.

Operational Excellence & Governance

  • Own development of strategic operating rhythms, business reviews, and governance frameworks that support decision-making across all levels of the organization.
  • Champion data-driven project tracking, milestone reporting, and impact measurement, ensuring accountability across global teams.
  • Drive standardization and continuous improvement of project practices, including documentation, toolkits, workflows, and reporting.
  • Ensure strong connections between the Global Marketing Capability Hubs and the regions, serving as the conduit for alignment and execution.

Additional Description

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing or marketing operations with at least 3 years in a global or cross-regional capacity.
  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional and large-scale marketing programs from strategy through execution.
  • Deep understanding of marketing transformation, capability building, and operational integration within complex organizations.
  • Experience managing high-performing teams or direct reports, with a commitment to mentoring and development.
  • Strong working knowledge of modern marketing platforms and technologies (e.g., Adobe Experience Platform, Salesforce, Azure).
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and executive reporting skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset and ability to use data to measure, communicate, and optimize impact.
  • Proven ability to work across time zones and geographies, balancing global consistency with local relevance.

A company vehicle will be provided for this role with successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Report review.
