Description

DUTIES:

Lead product development and integration activities. Utilize engineering tools and processes to successfully develop components and system programs. Effectively achieve program milestones by thorough and rigorous program management. Coach and lead suppliers to timely execution of program work with perfection. Design, develop, implement, and analyze technical products and systems. Perform engineering design evaluations. Develop a range of products. Work with cross-functional areas to develop design proposals and options, negotiate balance of Studio and content. Generate lit and unlit exterior lighting system level feature communication graphics, with animation and vehicle level communications. Generate and execute performance requirements based on benchmarking, program priorities, and Exterior Lighting components packaging feasibility to support new vehicle programs. Math Development and packaging integration to meet exterior lighting performance requirements utilizing Teamcenter and Unigraphics. Organize and conduct benchmarking to support design direction competitiveness. Support technical leadership for advanced component or technology development. Ability to work with limited data and make effective decisions, always putting customer first. Perform complex engineering evaluation analysis balancing business imperatives, including but not limited to cost, mass, complexity, and timing. Product development team leadership experience and program management of new sub system experience required. Communicate information to and from internal (PDT, regular program meetings, scheduled peer reviews and program gate reviews) and external customer organizations. Staying abreast of relevant new technology and competitive products. Assist and lead in the development of Statement of Requirements (SOR) Creation and lead in the development of statements of work. Create and support Interface Control Document (ICD) requirements for component and subsystem interfaces. Assist/Lead Product Development Team meetings. Technical contributions at peer reviews and through development process enhancements. Up to 20% domestic travel required. Hybrid Work Policy - 3 days In-office, 2 days remote - Must be able to report to local office.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field of study and Two years of experience as a Design Engineer or related role. Two years of experience with: Global lighting regulations and exterior lighting regulatory; Vehicle integration and design options for decision matrix; Global product design; Math Development and packaging integration to meet exterior lighting performance requirements utilizing Teamcenter and Unigraphics; and Abaqus for CAE, Matlab and Simulink for EE controls, and JAVA and Python for software.
