Description

Build partnerships and work closely with functional peers across engineering, purchasing, and suppliers to implement semiconductor strategic objectives. Develop statement of requirements and release semiconductors to facilitate on-time sourcing and integration with ECUs in accordance with Global Vehicle Development Process and program timing requirements. Run Product Development Team consisting of all internal and external partners ensuring semiconductors are designed, produced, and production ready. Build strong semiconductor fabrication partner relationships ensuring clear understanding of manufacturing process and supply chain business arrangements. Project manage ongoing process and product design changes related to semiconductors within scope of responsibility and present progress to leadership. Establish domain expertise for semiconductors product line within scope of responsibility. Oversight and direction for Power Management Integrated Circuits (PMICs), including: one time programmable (OTP) configuration, with scrutinization for new applications requiring unique configurations, schematic review and PCB layout reviews of PMIC integration by electronic devices, strategic component selection with commonly used components (i.e. target PMIC for allEthernet switch applications), general purpose PMICs for use in simpler device applications, including supplier technical offerings and guidance for internal teams on selecting the best product for their application, and maintaining a general purpose PMIC catalog that aligns with sourcing specification requirements, which includes manufacturability and technical requirements. System Basis Chips (SBCs) including: publishing initial catalog which includes working with key suppliers to understand part offerings, technical capabilities of those offerings, and provide recommendation for senior leadership / vice president approval of catalog parts., maintaining a general purpose SBC catalog that aligns with sourcing specification requirements, which includes manufacturability and technical requirements, and provide guidance to internal teams on selection of SBC for their application, as requested.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study. Two (2) years of experience as a Senior System Engineer, Resident Engineer, Product Engineer, Core Electrical Engineer, or related occupation. Two (2) years of experience in the following: Engineering experience as a DRE, OR at a semiconductor supplier, or at Tier 1 ECU supplier and Automotive electronic hardware. One(1) year of experience in the following: Electrical hardware design and development; Design, application, and integration of different semiconductors including schematic, PCB layout, signal integrity, and power integrity; and LAB equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and multimeters. Six (6) months of experience in the following: Automotive software architectures.
