Description

Analyze and implement product or machinery designs for the best method for manufacturing processes. Propose and evaluate the processes for equipment in assigned area. Direct the design, development, and improvement of manufacturing processes for assigned area. Keep regular contact with partners outside the work group. Provide direction to small group of technical employees. Evaluate or monitor expenditures for processes and equipment. Analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives of finished product. Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, staff requirements, and production standards. Communicate with management and user personnel to develop production and design standards. Complete production reports, purchase orders, and material, tool, and equipment lists.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field of study. Two (2) years of experience as a Controls Engineer, Automation Engineer, or related occupation. Two years of experience with Industrial networking protocols including DH+, RIO, Device net. TCP/IP and EthernetIP; Panelbuilder for Panelview Applications; PLC hardware including Rockwell ControlLogix family: PLC 5, PLC 500, Control Logix, and Guard Logix; Servo drive systems and Kinetix 6000 Drives; and VFD including Armor Starts, PF70 and PF755 Applications. One year of experience with HMI software including Siemens WinCC and TIA Portal and Rockwell Factory Talk; Embedded programming in C, Matlab and Simulink; and Fanuc Robotics including programming and troubleshooting.
