The Role
The Business Development Manager (BDM) drives strategic initiatives, business improvements, and operational excellence across the organization. This role supports long-term growth by owning structural cost forecasting, leading contract management, and evaluating new business opportunities for strategic alignment. Acting as a key advisor to the Independent Aftermarket (IAM) Director, the BDM ensures cross-functional coordination, data-driven decision-making, and effective execution of high-impact initiatives that support regional and organizational priorities.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
Develop new revenue streams within the Independent Aftermarket (IAM) channel
- Research the latest in the business industry and creating new opportunities to expand business.
- Manage existing relationship and define growth strategies within IAM Buyer Groups and other third-party customer.
- Other special projects to generate new revenue opportunities.
Business Improvement Initiatives & Execution:
- Champion continuous improvement efforts by identifying key opportunities and risks through data-driven analysis.
- Define measurable objectives, track progress, and ensure transparency using Operational Excellence methodologies.
- Provide analytical insights, develop strategic recommendations, and coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure execution excellence.
- Serve as the initial point of assessment for new business initiatives, conducting early-stage evaluations to determine strategic fit and feasibility prior to escalation.
Structural Cost Forecasting Ownership:
- Serve as the primary owner of structural cost forecasting within the IAM, including responsibility for accurate and timely system inputs, variance analysis against actuals, and regular reporting to the IAM Director.
- Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance forecasting accuracy, streamline data flow, and reduce turnaround time in alignment with business planning cycles.
Contract Management Leadership:
- Own and oversee CCA IAM related contracts, ensuring they remain current, compliant, and aligned with business objectives.
- Proactively lead the contract review and renewal process, coordinating with legal, procurement, and key stakeholders to refresh agreements as needed and drive timely execution.
- Ability to operate with a sense of urgency and focus on long-term business transformation rather than short-term operational metrics.
- Ownership of strategic direction to address revenue impacts due to car-parc reductions, including dealer network optimization and product portfolio strategy.
- Strong capability to manage operational execution in alignment with broader business goals.

- Knowledge of budgeting, financial planning, sales/marketing, and dealer network management.
