Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage engineering/technology projects, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to optimize resource allocation.
  • Ensure delivery of project scope within the original cost estimate, managing schedule, budget, and integration of New Product Introduction (NPI) and requisition projects.
  • Drive successful project execution utilizing earned value management techniques.
  • Cultivate specialized knowledge within your discipline, serving as a best practice/quality resource and staying abreast of the latest technical developments.
  • Contribute to strategy and policy development, ensuring effective delivery within your area of responsibility.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of best practices and the integration of your area with others, including an understanding of market differentiators.
  • Exercise judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems, utilizing technical expertise for data analysis and recommendations.
  • Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience, potentially leading small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements.
  • Facilitate consensus-building with internal and external stakeholders, leveraging expert power and influencing skills for development and execution.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in technical leadership or project management position(s).
  • US Person: This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.

  • Solid understanding of Lean Product Development principles.
  • Excellent track record of driving Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Solid understanding of Safety Critical Software Development Processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead strategy development and deployment.
  • Ability to reconcile and align multiple stakeholder expectations while meeting overall project goals.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
