Job Description Summary

As a Business Functional Leader for the USM ERP team, this role will be responsible for "GEAMs" business process deployment into a new enterprise resource planning system for the Order, Billing and Collection "OBC" stream, business functional ownership of Organizational Change Management. This role will execute standard operational/technical tasks subject to instructions and the established action plan. This role will work directly with Digital Product Owners, Product Architects, and developers to implement the defined user requirements for the assigned streams. This role requires the use of lean problem-solving tools to simplify and reduce waste in USM processes.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Drive strong business engagement through leadership behaviors and FLIGHT DECK to adopt the ERP template for Order, Billing & Collection Stream.
  • Execute the defined ERP deployment action plan, data readiness and change management of the assigned stream(s)
  • Responsible for business preparation and execution of project phases for the assigned stream(s): Design, Build, Realize, Deploy and Run.
  • Partner with the digital team to execute the change management action plan and training plan for all streams - with the objective of every GEAM business user to be prepared for go-live.
  • Support the execution of a global deployment plan for our Texas, Kansas and Singapore sites while minimizing business disruptions and ensuring successful adoption and transition from hypercare to regular operation.
  • Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work.
  • Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
  • May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework.
  • Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university or a minimum high school diploma / GED with 4+ years of experience in either customer service, operations or project management.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Capability to work autonomously, follow an action plan and have the ability to work in a matrixed environment.
  • Experience in used materials is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel (20%). Candidate should expect at least one trip to Singapore and a trip to the United Kingdom prior to go-live, and plan on trips to the Kansas and Texas sites during system integration testing, user acceptance testing and go-live.
  • Experience working in an enterprise resource planning system is preferred.
  • Demonstrated customer focus - evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer, builds strong customer relationships, creates processes with customer viewpoint and partners with customers to help shape their future initiatives.
  • Lean problem-solving skills
  • Team player - collaborates well with others, can work horizontally across the organization to achieve objectives, to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various stakeholders.
