Job Description Summary

Gain a varied experience starting at preliminary design of cutting-edge systems architectures to fielded engine support.

In this role, the engineer will work with aerodynamicists, engine performance engineers, and controls engineers to ensure stall free engine operation across all operating conditions.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Participate in rig/engine operability test planning, execution, and data analysis.
  • Conduct compression component stability analysis.
  • Execute engine-start studies and engine-start test data analysis.
  • Coordinate operability engine certification activities.
  • Integrate with engine airframers in defining engine operational requirements.
  • Support field investigations.
  • Support production engine operability acceptance testing.
  • Lead operability project planning for assigned program.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering from accredited university.
  • At least 3 years of experience in an engineering position.

Desired Characteristics

  • Prior experience working in engine operability.
  • Strong interest in compressible flow modeling and aerodynamics.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Willingness to learn and work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Graduate degree in Aerospace or Mechanical engineering.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
