๐ What's This Role All About?
As an Obituary Advisor, you'll be the compassionate voice on the other end of the line, helping families and funeral homes place obituary notices in both print and digital formats. You'll juggle deadlines, emails, and phone calls like a pro-all while making a meaningful difference during life's most important moments.
๐ฏ What You'll Be Doing
- ๐ฅ๏ธ Entering ads into our Wave2 system (don't worry, we'll train you!)
- ๐ Answering phones and emails with empathy and professionalism
- ๐งฉ Placing obituaries in print and online-accuracy is key!
- ๐ฌ Managing multiple inboxes like a multitasking wizard
- ๐ค Collaborating with teammates and clients alike
- ๐งน Tackling a few admin tasks to keep things running smoothly
- ๐ Working two weekends a month (Saturday + Sunday) with weekday hours too

๐ก What You Bring to the Table
- A warm, friendly voice and a heart for helping others
- A knack for spelling, grammar, and attention to detail
- The ability to type 40-45 wpm (bonus points if you're faster!)
- Comfort with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, etc.)
- A self-starter attitude-you take initiative and get things done
- Stellar communication skills (written and verbal)
- A desire to grow your career in media and marketing
- 1+ year of experience in customer service or admin support is a plus!

The base hour rate for this role will range between $12.00 and $15.00 per hour. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, location, and union representation, if applicable.
