Job Description:

What you will be doing:

  • Responsible for renewing, up-selling, and closing of maintenance/service/license contracts for assigned region or account. Increases renewal sales for assigned region or account(s)
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the organization's various products and maintenance contracts. Educates customers on business practices and associated contractual implications.
  • Ensures customer awareness and understanding of applicable product elements. Must meet sales objectives such as quota and productivity requirements.
  • Maintain account team relationships and transfers leads as appropriate.
  • Learning sales techniques and company product/service offerings or, if transitioning into a specialty role, gaining understanding of a specialized product, service, market, or client.
  • Responsible for selling the company's lower-complexity products or services, developing new accounts and/or expanding existing accounts.
  • May have own account or work on a team. Typically responsible for small accounts or may have a small quota or territory.
  • Sells less-complex products/services. Beginning to establish client base and generally has smaller accounts and revenue/bookings responsibility.
  • assist senior sales personnel and/or generally requires support from more senior sales personnel and management.
  • Provide quotations/pricing to the distributor.
  • Maintain accurate records within Salesforce and other systems, update relevant information including forecast held in these systems.
  • Make outbound telephone calls to end users and resellers to identify, progress and close sales opportunities.
  • Maintain high levels of phone activity, and achieve set targets for pipeline growth.
  • Attend external customer meetings and internal meetings with other internal functions as required.
  • Efficiently engage sales resources, SE, Channel, Solutions Sales Specialists and Executives as required.
  • Attend training and develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills as appropriate.
  • Flag up problem opportunities to the Renewals Manager
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned

What we are looking for:

  • A proven track record of success in managing and developing existing accounts with min 5 years' experience.
  • A successful track record in delivering to defined revenue / margin targets.
  • Experience of closing business.
  • Experience of working in a renewal sales position in a high-tech organization
  • PC literate with knowledge of MS Office applications as a minimum, especially MS Excel
