Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Test Technician located in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor, the Test Technician role involves conducting tests and troubleshooting electronic products, components, and systems to ensure production quality standards are met.

What a typical day looks like:

• Develops, maintains, and improves all tests and processes within area of responsibility.
• Periodically reviews all process specifications to determine if they accurately reflect the process requirements and/ or test techniques and updates the specifications as required.
• Ensures that tests are compliant with all safety and ISO-9000 standards.
• Reviews quality yields and develops corrective actions to eliminate yield detractors and improve the process/ product reliability.
• Works with Quality, Process, Failure Analysis, and other Test Engineers to determine if product data indicates a need for process/ product improvement.
• Assists with the fabrication and development of new equipment, fixtures, and test programs.
• Ensures that preventive maintenance, calibration, diagnostics, re-qualification, and daily measurement schedules are in place for each test.
• Assists engineers and development labs with all new product introductions and developments.
• Assists engineers with Electronic Work Instructions (EWI)
• Implement activities for Watch Tower.
• Support NPI.
• Periodically evaluates equipment and proposes a realistic justification for new equipment.
• Coordinates recovery/ repair tasks with the necessary maintenance technicians/ engineers.
• Troubleshoots/ debugs at multiple system levels.
• Has a strong awareness of safety standard.

• Has an awareness of and applies new technologies/ techniques.
• Demonstrates detailed functional knowledge and has input to process improvement.
• Serves as an expert/ consultant with other employees.
• Demonstrates advanced technical skills which may be used to conduct on-the-job training and/ or lead/ guide other employees.
• Ability to speak and understand English.
• Strong knowledge of Electronics and Programming.
