Job summary:
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a CAD Designer located in Farmington Hills, MI.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the CAD Designer role involves...
What a typical day looks like:
- Assists Design Engineers in the development of highly complex new designs or modify current design. Using NX design software
- Works from preliminary "A" surface parts to develop all B side development as defined by engineering.
- Closely contributes with internal Design and tooling reviews.
- Maintains technical coordination with Flex's manufacturing groups and the customer's engineers to insure proper designs.
- Provides 3D and 2D design support as needed along with customer teamcenter releases.
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience and training.
- Must have NX and Teamcenter experience
- 5+ years of CAD design experience and extensive tool training.
- Plastics experience
- Has comprehension of the manufacturing process and ability to make design improvements to the process using CAD equipment.
