Overview
Responsible for all phases of data processing system projects, from requirements definition to installation. Lead technical efforts in the development, implementation, and maintenance of complex systems. Develop test plans, software, and procedures that improve processing capabilities. Support productions systems by resolving complicated issues and ensuring ongoing functionality. Serve as a technical expert and may provide a leadership role for less experienced associates in the work group. Lead team efforts to evaluate and improve department systems, processes, and applications. Use programming specifications to construct modules, develop testing methods, and assists with designing training. Design modifications that fit within existing system architecture. Provide technical support to production systems by addressing complex issues, anticipating maintenance requirements, and ensuring functionality for end user needs. Develop technical solutions to unique system problems. Lead major projects, delegate tasks, and ensure quality results. Use expertise to mentor and train associates within the work group. Participate in special projects and meetings as needed to convey critical technical insight. Serve as a technical resource for management, associates, and business units. Collect data related to user requests and determines scope, time estimates, and system impacts. Inspect business specifications, programming specifications, coding, test plans, documentation, and implementation plans for accuracy. Maintain and enhance the efficiency of the Tax Data Warehouse. Provide 24/7 support on call rotations when there is a production issue or major release. May work remotely pursuant to First Citizens' Remote Work Guidelines policy.

The base pay for this position is relative to your experience but the range is generally $151,986 - $163,100 per year. The position is eligible for variable compensation, which may be in the form of incentive, bonus, or commission pay. Qualifications
Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other related field of study plus six (6) years of experience in the job offered or six (6) years of experience as an Oracle Developer, Software Engineer, or a related occupation. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other related field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or four (4) years as an Oracle Developer, Software Engineer, or a related occupation.
Position requires the ability to provide 24/7 support on call rotations when there is a production issue or major release. Requires experience with software application development and maintenance. Requires advanced experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) or similar code repository system. Requires advanced experience with ServiceNow or other information technology service ticketing systems. Requires in-depth knowledge and experience with System Life Cycle Development methodologies, such as Waterfall or Agile. Requires advanced experience with programming languages such as Java, Microsoft .NET (C#); ASP.NET Cobol; SQL Scripting; or Powershell Scripting. Requires expert level of knowledge of the ETL tool SSIS. May work remotely pursuant to First Citizens' Remote Work Guidelines policy.
