Job Description:
The Role
The Chief Fiduciary Officer (CFO) is responsible for providing subject matter expertise on regulatory and fiduciary matters, trust administration and estate planning concepts to the Fidelity Personal Trust Company, FSB (FPTC) Board of Directors and its subcommittees and FPTC personnel across multiple business lines, including personal trust accounts, stock plan services, health savings accounts and directed trustee/paying agent accounts for retirement plans. The CFO leads a team of fiduciary officers and risk and compliance associates to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and internal policies and procedures.

- J.D. required
- Minimum of 15+ years of trust administration, risk and/or wealth planning experience with a trust bank or in the financial services industry
- Minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity
- Experience with various types of trusts and estate planning documents, income and principal accounting, personal and trust income taxation, estate tax, charitable trusts, gift tax, GST tax, investments, trust and estate law, retirement plans, and the laws and regulations that govern
- Ability to think analytically and strategically and relay complex situations clearly and effectively
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently, juggle multiple tasks, and prioritize work to maintain both accuracy and efficiency
- Strong legal research and drafting background, collaboration skills, and ability to function as a team player
- Experience with presenting group trainings and/or acting as a coach/mentor
- Strong ability to recognize risk across processes and identify downstream implications of change
- Collaborate and consult with Senior management, advisors, attorneys, and tax professionals
- Exceptional work ethic, integrity, team spirit and judgment
- Experience engaging with audit and government regulators to facilitate examination of the bank
- Strong background in compliance, risk management and risk mitigation

The Team
Fidelity Personal Trust Company, FSB (FPTC) is a federally chartered trust company that offers personal trust services to Fidelity's high net worth customers in every state. As a subject matter expert, the CFO provides fiduciary guidance and risk oversight to ensure proper administration of FPTC's trust business and evaluates and manages risk of FPTC's other business lines. The CFO also is responsible for overseeing and implementing FPTC's policies and procedures and self-testing program.
