Job Description:

The Role

The Rebid Account Executive participates in retention strategy and proactive contract extension activities, providing valid, competitive information and developing timely, accurate sales proposals. This individual will focus on Defined Contribution, Defined Benefit, Personalized Planning and Advice, and Health Savings Account opportunities. Specific sales activities include strategy development, consultant engagement, customer presentations, proposal development, contract negotiations, market intelligence, Salesforce reporting, and client team sales mentoring. This role partners closely with Managing Directors and Sales Support to build and implement sales processes that align with operational goals. The VP Retention Executives are aligned to Team Leaders and cover a national territory.

This role involves working from home and the hire needs to be comfortable or have had experience working remotely/ independently from a personal home-based office. Our preferred remote locations include MA, NH, TX and KY.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree with 15 + years of proven industry experience
  • 10 + years of experience working directly with Institutional Clients and/or External Consultants
  • Series 7 & 63 licenses preferred upfront but can be obtained within 90 days of hire
  • Relationship building skills and coaching skills and/or involvement in team selling
  • Understanding of TEM (Tax-Exempt Market) pricing, contracting, and operational requirements
  • Ability to develop and maintain a strong network of business partners across Fidelity and in our external consultant community
  • Keen awareness of our TEM value proposition and pricing drivers across the marketplace
  • Knowledge on all products/offerings available to our TEM clients
  • Takes ownership of every opportunity and provide support to our service teams throughout the retention process
  • Makes decisions based on long-term view of trends, issues and business implications and cross-Fidelity impacts
  • Able to influence and gain acceptance of ideas and suggestions from senior business executives
  • Maintains an industry leading 98 + percent client retention strategy
  • Educates and handles internal service team retention efforts to drive better outcomes
  • Retains our clients at a competitive market price, while reducing operational complexity to improve our overall margins
  • Owns the outcome and demonstrates support for all retention efforts
  • Ability to travel 50% nationally

The Team

The VP Rebid Account Executive would be the second member of our Tax-Exempt retention team, who will ensure retention our exclusive clients across the country. This role is closely aligned and partners closely with the MDs and existing service teams. We are delegating functional responsibilities to enhance proactive capabilities in identifying risk and managing our rebid process. The VP has the opportunity to influence, shape, and improve our overall retention process.
