The Role
As a Head of Model Portfolios Distribution, you will act as the leader of a specialist organization responsible for the distribution of Fidelity's Model Portfolios. Your team will act as an extension of our investment and product teams and as the client facing authority representing our turnkey and custom model portfolios to Fidelity's intermediary clients. You will lead a team that supports RIAs and Broker Dealers on proprietary and third-party platform through developing new prospective firms and advisors, while also working alongside field wholesalers to generate strong sales lift from our existing clients and prospects. Lastly, collaborates with asset management function to influence our product roadmap, develop messaging, and core content to support the continued growth of Fidelity's Models Business.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Developing and maintaining a highly motivated, highly productive sales team which will lead to stronger client relationships and increased sales
- The effective management of a sales team leading to emerging product growth, deepening of client relationships, and high client satisfaction
- Able to interact well with both external clients (advisors, shareholders, due diligence analysts, etc.) as well as internal clients (investment management, distribution, product management and senior management constituents, etc.)
- Serve as a voice of the client for ongoing product development and execution
- Bachelor's degree required. MBA, CFA or equivalent graduate degree a plus.
- Series 7 & 63 licenses required; 24 obtained after hired
- 15+ years of financial services experience
- Expertise and knowledge of the managed account marketplace, competitive set, and economic model
- Demonstrated leadership in a large, matrixed organization with a proven track record of delivering business and sales results
- Your ability to manage salespeople with varying degrees of experience and tenure
- Your passion to coach and provide consistent, constructive feedback
- A desire to lead, motivate and collaborate for the benefit of the team
- You build and maintain relationships as you work collaboratively across Fidelity to deliver business outcomes and seek out the expertise of colleagues to advise on your approach
- You possess strong business/technical knowledge of the managed account ecosystem
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, decision making and multi-tasking abilities
- Ability to stay organized, be resourceful, and prioritize ongoing sales opportunities
- Demonstrate Independent decision making
- Drive team results against goals
- 60-75% national travel required including client visits, conferences, team visits, and home office meeting

The Team
We are dedicated to the intermediary and institutional marketplace, Broker Dealers, Registered Investment Advisors, and financial advisors. We are a gateway to Fidelity's broad and deep institutional investment management products and capabilities in equity, fixed-income, high-income and global asset allocation. We are passionate about overall client satisfaction and participation in key initiatives sought at retaining or gaining new assets are important components to the success of Fidelity Institutional. We have a direct impact on revenue and profitability for the firm. However, our most critical skill is our ability to listen to our clients, so we can respond with purpose and conviction!
The base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $175,000 per year.
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate's relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
