Institutional Wealth Management Services (IWMS), which offers wealth management professionals and firms access to the investment, technology, and platform solutions they need to serve their investor clients and grow their businesses. Institutional Wealth Management Services is a part of Fidelity Investments, a leading provider of investment management, retirement planning, portfolio guidance, brokerage, benefits outsourcing, and other financial products and services to institutions, financial intermediaries, family offices, and individuals.

Fidelity Clearing & Custody provides a comprehensive clearing and custody platform, brokerage services, trading capabilities and practice management and consulting to registered investment advisors (RIAs), including strategic acquirers and professional asset managers, as well as retirement recordkeepers, family offices, multifamily offices, wealthy families, broker-dealer firms, banks and insurance companies.

The SVP Relationship Manager will be responsible for one of the largest client segments within the Custody business under IWMS. The RIAs have diverse business models and range in size from $250 million to over $1 billion in assets and the majority use more than one custodian. The segment has a national footprint supported by two Regional Vice Presidents that divide the country. The SVP Relationship Management will lead the overall segment and manage a team of Regional Vice President's Relationship Manager's and Client Development Specialist's.

The Expertise You Have

  • College degree required; MBA, CFP, CFA, JD, CIMA, CPWA, CPA preferred
  • 15 plus years of experience working with RIAs and/or Broker Dealers
  • Experience working at a custodian is a plus along with sales experience
  • Experience managing a client facing team with asset and revenue goals a must
  • Experience running a line business with overall accountability for strategy implementation and P&L management
  • Expertise and knowledge of the RIA marketplace, competitive set, economic model and internal workings of an RIA
  • Demonstrated leadership in a large, matrixed organization with a proven track record of delivering business and sales results

  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex risk assessments and support cross business collaboration with business partners in legal, risk and compliance
  • Experience with managing a business P&L, expense management and investment decision making
  • Unflappable under pressure with solid judgement; discreet and trustworthy

The Team

The team works with RIAs across the United States. As a part of the Custody division, this individual will be on the Custody senior leadership team and will be an influencer of the overall business strategy. This role will report to the Head of RIA and Family Office. This role will be based in Boston, MA or Westlake, TX.
