Job Description:
The Role
As a member of the Asset Management Accounting and Controllership Team, you will be primarily responsible for ensuring the books and records of certain Asset Management legal entities are prepared correctly on a monthly and quarterly basis in the general ledger. You will be responsible for recurring journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, financial statement preparation and monthly balance sheet and P&L analysis that is presented to business partners. You will be relied upon to assist the team with various tasks to ensure there are proper controls in place for a wide variety of processes.
This position will have an opportunity to interact directly with various business partners throughout Fidelity as well as the firm's external auditors. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills and exhibit relationship building skills. The ability to manage multiple priorities and demonstrate flexibility will be critical. This position will be responsible for projects of varying scope and complexity.

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, CPA preferred
- Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the financial services industry
- Detail-oriented with solid understanding of business and financial concepts and accounting
- Ability to work on multiple areas/projects concurrently and meet tight deadlines
- Experience preparing GAAP financial statements
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively and confidently with all levels of management and various groups
- Ability to utilize financial systems and reporting tools; strong knowledge of Microsoft products (Excel & Word)
- Experience with, or demonstrated ability to learn, complex financial systems and multi-dimensional reporting tools (e.g., Oracle, FFP, Power BI, ECC, Workiva)

This role on the Asset Management Accounting and Controllership Team is responsible for working as a part of a larger team that is responsible for the general ledger accounting, internal controls, and financial statement preparation and other reporting for the investment advisors that support Fidelity's retail business.
