Principle Software Engineer in Test
Fidelity Investments Workplace Investing (WI) organization is seeking an experienced mainframe Software Engineer to join our Quality team within Stock Plan Services (SPS) Technology tasked with making quality improvements to our compensation application. The person will play a role in delivering quality changes in support of our Plan Admin System. This role demands significant collaboration with members of various business and IT groups throughout the lifecycle of a typical project.
The Expertise You Have
- Bachelor's Degree (10+ years of experience) or equivalent in a technology related field (Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) and required more (5+) years of experience as a technical lead in mainframe brokerage or stock plan services systems and application development.
- Solid understanding of Relational Databases.
- Experience with PL/SQL.
- Extensive API/Web Services Test Automation experience (Java, Cucumber, Karate, TestNG, Playwright)
- Experienced developing Test Automation frameworks.
- Understanding of Cloud Computing & DevOps concepts including CI/CD pipelines using GIT and Jenkins
- Tests applications and provides quality support in a mainframe environment using COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL, MQ-Series, SQL, and VSAM files. Analyzes and recommends changes to project development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to development experts and management

- Strong technical skills.
- Lead test efforts across multiple environments, throughout all phases of the development life cycle to ensure the delivery of high-quality code to production.
- Provide mentoring, training, & guidance to a team of Quality Engineers.
- Working collaboratively to define, implement, and apply best practices & standards, leading continuous improvement.
