The Purpose of This Role

We're looking for Full Stack Lead Engineer to join Fidelity Health Digital team within Workplace Investing (WI) for the Work place Investing who are hardworking, inquisitive, and responsible individuals to help deliver the best digital web experience to our customers. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of one of the top initiatives in Fidelity Health domain to develop market leading digital experience to our customers that integrate with record keeping platforms to provide exceptional user experience for their healthcare needs.

The Value You Deliver

  • Developing, designing and building solutions on a digital platform used by the end customer
  • Setting, communicating and reinforcing technical standards
  • Assessing and researching current implementations of the platform and determining the course of action required to elevate the platform to meet customer needs.
  • Taking the business requirements coupled with existing architecture to set a technical vision for features and major components and clearly articulating the evolutionary steps to achieve it
  • Participating in code review and unit testing and providing support on issues in non-prod or production
  • Foster a culture of relentless pursuit of process and product quality through the use of appropriate standards, engineering practices and tools

The Skills that are Key to this role

  • Architecture and Design: Applies design principles, contributes to system design
  • Advanced Angular & TypeScript: Designs modular, scalable UI components and handles complex state
  • Java & Microservices: Develops and integrates scalable middle-tier services using Spring Boot
  • API Design & Integration: Collaborates with record keeping teams to define and consume RESTful APIs
  • Performance Optimization: Improves UI responsiveness and middle-tier service performance
  • Testing Strategy: Implements unit, integration, and E2E tests using Jest, Cypress, and JUnit
  • DevOps & Monitoring: Improve CI/CD pipelines, shift left practices and support release processes
  • Cloud Platforms: Deploys and monitors apps on AWS
  • Dev Assist Tools: Familiar with tools like GitHub CoPilot, Gemini and understands the usage in broader tech landscape - code reviews, test case generation, refactoring code
  • Security Practices: Implement and advocate secure development and support practices
  • Mentorship & Collaboration: Mentors junior engineers and collaborates across teams

The Skills that are Good to Have for this role

  • Experience in US Benefits Administration or US Healthcare Payor domains is highly valued.
  • Proven record to operate in mature product environments with long-term support and stability.

The Expertise We're Looking For

  • 5-8 years of experience in designing and implementing web applications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or another related field
  • Proficient in front-end frameworks and web technologies including HTML/CSS, JavaScript or Typescript or Angular
  • Proficient in Java and Spring Boot framework
