Job Description:
The Role
Reporting into the Head of the Tax-Exempt Market (TEM), this role and a key member of the TEM senior leadership team. The role leads TEM efforts to drive growth and retention of our clients, enhance Fidelity's presence in the market, and drive adoption of new solutions to expand and strengthen relationships. There will be significant interface with senior management as well senior leaders and subject matter experts both internally and externally. Key aspects of the role encompass:
- Leading competitive client retention efforts; dedicated third-party consultant engagement to drive retention and growth.
- Cultivating key consulting relationships to support the market growth of TEM; advocating on behalf of Fidelity's client relationships with the largest and most influential external consultants.
- Developing the market roadmap with TEM industry practice leads to strength market presence and help optimize client engagement opportunities.
- Frequent interaction and strong collaboration with internal sales professionals, relationship management, consultant relations, custody & clearing and business partners, critical in addressing client and/or consultant specific situations.
- Direct partnership with RIAs and their advisors who act in a fiduciary capacity for TEM participants.
- Increasing client appreciation for the level and value of our services.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Bachelor's degree; MBA or advanced degree helpful.
- Series 7, 24 and 63 required.
- Minimum:
- 10 years in the financial industry; Strong understanding of the retirement business regulatory environment; working knowledge of 401(k)/403(b)/457 qualified and non-qualified defined contribution plans a plus.
- 5 years managing and cultivating a vibrant and inclusive team environment.
- Ability to travel up to 70% .
- Proven success:
- Building and cultivating strategic relationships; strong organizational that can champion and influence initiatives and solve complex problems working with internal partners and external stakeholders and clients.
- Influencing and negotiating strategic product/service delivery through collaboration with large, complex clients to adoption of product solutions to meet client needs.
- Interpreting sophisticated problems, leading business indicators and translating them into practical solutions.
- Demonstrating end-to-end business thinking, planning, and decision-making to achieve clear and measurable outcomes.
- anticipating and interpreting market needs, adapt to changes and prioritize as necessary while meeting consultant and/or client-imposed deadlines.
- Understanding and developing industry and competitor products/services and best practices.
- Exceptional communication skills both oral and written translating business context, challenges and strategy into a compelling story/presentation; C-suite command presence.
- Innovative, forward-thinker who quickly understands the context, and effectively challenges the status quo.
