Director, Meetings & Events Technology and Innovation
The Director, Meeting & Events technology and Innovation plays a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency, engagement, and impact of events across the enterprise through the integration of technology and innovative practices.
The M&E Technology and Innovation Director is responsible for developing and implementing technology-driven strategies to enhance the planning, execution, and evaluation of meetings and events. This role involves using innovative technologies to improve attendee engagement, streamlining event operations, and driving innovation in event design, execution, and reporting.
The role involves a variety of responsibilities, particularly leading and managing a team related to all meeting and event components. They will serve as the primary liaison between the M&E team and all enterprise departments to ensure adherence to established Fidelity protocols and policies. As well as developing and overseeing the delivery of training sessions, as needed, ensuring that all partners are informed of current policies and standard processes.

The Team
The dynamic Meetings and Events team collaborate with business partners on the planning, budgeting, and design of all internal and client events. The team manages over 1000 events a year with a focus on creating seamless and memorable experiences that support business and firm-wide objectives.
A primary key to being successful is this position is to have excellent communication and training skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy for meetings and events that aligns with organizational goals.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in the events' industry.
- Work with cross-functional teams in the planning and execution of technology-driven events.
- Analyze event data to inform decision-making and measure success.
- Provide ongoing support, resources and troubleshooting for technology-related issues during events.
The Expertise You Have
- At least 10 years of related work experience bachelor's degree in Event Management, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Proven experience planning all type and sizes of events using the Cvent event management software, CRM platforms, and emerging technologies.
- An analytical mentality with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
- Ability to work autonomously and prepared to work on both strategic and tactical activities
